Live Online Reading & Writing Classes
Our live online classes provide small-group instruction in reading and writing for students in grades K–12. Reading classes build vocabulary, comprehension, and critical-thinking skills through structured lessons and guided discussion. Writing classes help students develop clear ideas, strong organization, and confident written expression. Students receive direct instruction and individual feedback throughout their classes.
Reading Classes for Grades K–12
Our small-group reading classes for students in grades K–12 build vocabulary, reading comprehension, and critical-thinking skills through structured lessons and guided discussion. Students receive direct instruction and practice using evidence to understand and respond to what they read.
Curriculum: Wordly Wise, with supplemental materials selected for each class.
Writing Classes for Grades K–8 & Advanced Research Writing
Our small-group writing classes help students develop clear ideas, strong organization, and confident written expression. Instruction includes guided practice, discussion, and individual feedback as students develop and revise their writing. Advanced students may also receive instruction in research writing.
Curriculum: Structured writing instruction tailored to students’ grade levels and goals.
How Classes Work
Classes meet live online for 45 minutes or one hour, once or twice each week. With no more than six students in a class, students receive direct instruction, guided practice, and individual feedback.

Alice has spent many years teaching writing and helping students develop strong analytical and communication skills. Her instruction emphasizes clear thinking, structured writing, and careful reading as students develop and refine their ideas.
Julie Betts
Julie works closely with students to strengthen reading comprehension and written expression. Her teaching focuses on thoughtful discussion, guided practice, and helping students develop confidence in expressing their ideas clearly.
